Flitcroft Reveals Plans For Promotion Spot

Bury FC concluded the season by positioning themselves in the middle section of the League Two and their head coach, David Flitcroft has revealed details about his projects as to what he is planning to do in order to earn a promotion spot.

Flitcroft outlined the structure of what method he is going to use to improve the club for the years and the English coach stated that he is going to focus mainly on the youth department with a few players already on his list.

Chris Hussey is a 25 years old defender who plays on Bury on a loan deal from Burton Albion has already displayed the potential he has for the upcoming seasons and David Flitcroft keeps him as one the priority players.

Pablo Mills has already extended his stay with Bury FC and the next one in line is Chris Hussey as Flitcroft stated.
“Negotiations have been under way for a few days now; we are just trying to do it systematically. We spent a lot of time on the Pabs one. We got that over the line and now we turn our attentions to Huss.”

David Flitcroft went on talking about his long term objectives and vision he has for the club as he pinpointed the main details of his projects in the development of homegrown players.

“I know the chairman Stewart Day wants to see home-grown players coming through as much as I do, but it may take 18 months to two years before we get those success stories coming through to the first team. We will get them in, I have a real verve to do that, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot of work to turn it around’’. Flitcroft stated.

CLARK BACKS BIRMINGHAM

Birmingham city manager Lee Clark says that he is confident that the club can avoid relegation this season if they managed to get four points between now and the end of the season.

After going through several financial difficulties during the last few years, Birmingham are struggling down near the bottom of the table. If they go down, it would be financial meltdown at St Andrews. Hence, Clark has been given the task of keeping the club in the division and he is quite confident of it.

BE AGGRESSIVE

The manager of Bury FC, David Flitcroft, wants his boys to be aggressive in their match against Exeter City FC this weekend.

There is a huge difference between the positions of Bury and Exeter in the League Two points table. The former is at no. 12, while, the latter is at no. 19, but, the difference is not so big when it comes to the number of points. These two teams are separated by just 3 points. So, a lot depends on Saturday’s game. A negative outcome can prove to be harmful for Bury and Flitcroft knows that pretty well.

The Shakers’ boss told the reporters yesterday, “We have won a couple of successive matches. So, we can afford to be a bit more aggressive in the upcoming games.”

“We have been very conventional of late and that’s because there was a lot of pressure on us, but, now some of that pressure has gone off.”

“However, the complacency must not creep in. That’s not a good thing at all. You should always remain focussed no matter how well you have done in the recent past.”

Despite having a horrible March, the Shakers are still not in any danger of finishing in the drop zone. They have got 10 points more than Northampton Town which is the first team in the drop zone. So, they are pretty safe. But, they would like to end the season on a decent note.

In March, Bury played a total of seven games out of which they only won two. They got beaten in three, while, the rest two were draws. It was their worst month in the season.

They have to play 6 more matches, including the one against Exeter, in the ongoing season.
