JEPSON NOT HAPPY
The caretaker manager of Bury FC, Ronnie Jepson, is not happy with the fact that his team managed to secure just one point from the game against Exeter City which was played on Saturday. Bury had taken the lead twice in that game, but, both times, they lost their advantage.
The position of Bury in the League Two points table is not that good at the moment. They are at 20th position in the table.
The Shakers had actually had a very poor start to the season, but, of late, they have performed pretty well. Out of their last 6 games, they have secured 6 points with 1 win and 3 draws.
Talking to the reporters after the game against Exeter City, Jepson said, “It hurts when you make so many good moves and don’t manage to win the game. We should have taken a big lead in the first half itself.”
“Before the start of the match, if somebody had offered me one point, I would have accepted that gleefully. But, the way we played in the game and the no. of opportunities we created, we deserved 3 points.”
“We need to improve our defence. There are just a few basic things that we need to work on. If we sort them out, we can become a very good side.”
“However, it’s a good sign that we are creating opportunities. Things didn’t quite go in our favour today, but, that will eventually happen if we keep playing like this.”
Bury FC doesn’t have to play any game in the next few days. Their next game is against Northampton Town and that game is going to take place after a couple of weeks i.e. on 14th of December.
Northampton Town is at the second last position in the League Two points table at the moment.
