Lee Clark satisfied with draw

Bury manager Lee Clark said that he is happy with the draw against Oldham.

He congratulated his team as they gave everything they can in this crucial match. Indeed this will be a vital point for both teams as they continue to fight against relegation.

Bury had a great chance to win the game in the closing stage of the match, but George Miller will miss a glorious opportunity when he fired directly at the keeper. However, the match was quite close with Oldham also having chances to win the game.

The draw allows Bury to remain above Oldham and 3 points above the relegation zone. Clark said that it is important to avoid defeat if you cannot win a game. He admitted that the match was a tough one and in tough condition and that his players gave the best on the pitch. He said that you need to respect the draw even if that means you get only one point.

He said that it was a derby game and that both sets of players were ready for this game and this was evident on the pitch. He added that the playing surface was not really good for their playing style, but they managed to take control of the game especially in the first half.

Lee Clark congratulated Oldham for the changes they made at the start of the second half and which allowed them to create some chances. However, he said that his players responded well and managed to create some chances towards the end of the game that could have allowed them to get a win.

Clark said that now it is important for the players to think of the future and make sure they win the next game. They are in a relegation battle, and they will need as many points as they can.
